Grayceon is pleased to announce that 'Pearl', one of the two tracks off our upcoming release 'Pearl and the End of Days', is being premiered today on Alarm Magazine! Click here to listen. We are pleased to make an exciting announcement today about the release of our new EP that will be released in February 2013 on San Francisco's own, Flenser Records. "Pearl and the End of Days" will be a vinyl/digital release and is comprised of two songs nearing 30 minutes of new material. The official press release can be viewed on the Flenser website. We have two fantastic shows coming up- this Friday, April 6th, with our friends Helms Alee and Thrones (both from the Pacific Northwest) and the second on June 23rd with the wonderful Hammers of Misfortune! In other exciting news, we are having discussions and making plans for a Grayceon vinyl EP to be released in the end of this year with two new songs that clock in around 30 minutes total. We are very anxious about this release because other than our 7" split with Giant Squid that came out the same year as our debut album in 2007, none of our material has appeared on vinyl. More official news about this album coming soon and until then, we hope to see you at one of our shows!

We are pleased to announce the birth of Pearl Gray Perez Gregory on September 21, 2011. Jackie and baby are happy and healthy and Uncle Max and Uncle Zack are pleased as punch. What a lucky day for such lucky news! Grayceon is back in the rehearsal studio preparing for our first show back since May and are so excited to be playing again. Grayceon will be on a short hiatus through the fall due to Jackie Perez Gratz growing and birthing our first Grayceon baby! Announcing this brings us much joy and excitement! We are continuing to rehearse and write new material, but will not be doing any live performances until late this year. Please check back for more news in the fall.

We just got back from an AWESOME NW tour with our fellow rockers, Lesbian! Thank you so much for all our fans who came out to see us and especially to those who traveled from far away places. All the shows were fantastic and hanging out with our Lesbros was the highlight of the tour. Next up is an all ages show (ironically in a brewery that Zack works at) and a live radio performance/interview that we taped in Seattle this past weekend. It airs next Sat/Sun at midnight and you can get the details on our shows page. Ciao for now!

We are happy to announce we will be performing at this year's SXSW, March 2011, in Austin TX. Aside from the official Profound Lore Records showcase, we will also be playing the Brooklyn Vegan party and possibly a few others. We will be putting details up on our shows page sometime next week. Also, don't forget that our CD release show is this Friday at Bottom of the Hill! It is with great pleasure that we announce our signing to one of our all-time favorite labels, Profound Lore Records! For those of you who are not familiar with this label, please visit the Profound Lore web site and check out their band roster and release discography. We are honored to be joining the ranks of San Francisco Bay Area legends Ludicra, Asunder, Slough Feg, and Amber Asylum as well as other band favorites such as Agalloch and Yob. And here is an update on our third album: we are finished with the final mix, it is off to mastering, and we will be setting our release date soon with Profound Lore Records!

Sorry it's been so long since our last posting! Our European tour was AMAZING and we hope to travel and perform abroad again sometime soon. Check out our tour photos on either our Myspace or Facebook pages. In other news, we are currently in the studio recording our third album! This is the best stuff we've written to date and we're really happy with the way it's turning out. Everything, including vocals, were tracked to 2" tape and this weekend we start to mix. We will keep you posted on the release as we get the information confirmed. There a couple of great shows coming up on our shows page and we promise not to go so long without another update!

Happy New Year!!! and all that jazz... Grayceon has been heads down in the rehearsal studio writing our third album. It's pretty much finished, but we are still adding the final touches and vocals to the songs. We are proud to announce that we will be playing some of these new tunes on our first ever EUROPEAN TOUR with friends, JUCIFER, starting at the end of April!!! It thrills us to no end to be able to announce this exciting news. The recording of the new album will commence within a couple weeks of our return from Europe and we will keep you posted on our progress. Grayceon is back from tour and happy to be sleeping in our own beds! Thank you for all of you who made it out to one of our shows! We know a lot of people traveled far distances to see us and your support means the words to us. Special thanks goes out to those cities we had never played before for making our visit so outstanding! Upon our return we realized that we only came back with a couple of handfuls of our 7" split. For those of you who don't know, this was a split with we did with Giant Squid on The End Records and contains one song from each band that has not been released in any other format. In addition to the tracks being rare, there were only 500 made. So, this is basically your last chance to buy one! Only the transparent sand vinyl color is left available and you can get your copy from our shop. If you didn't make it to one of the shows, you can view live video footage from our tour kick-off show in San Francisco here, here, and here. Enjoy!

We are pleased to announce our US tour dates and cities! Please visit our shows page and check to see if we will be in your area this coming August. Also, we are pleased to announce that we will be doing another split with sister band, Giant Squid, to be released on Translation Loss Records in Summer 2010. More news on that later.

The booking of our US tour is coming along nicely. We are particularly excited to be playing in some areas we have never played in before as well as returning to some cities we have had fabulous shows at before, so its a good mix! We are currently getting ready for our NW tour and preparing a new piece we hope to play for those shows. Also, we are happy to announce that the booking for a US tour with sister band, Giant Squid, is underway for the month of August! We will make another announcement once the dates are confirmed.

February turned into a much busier month than we had expected! There is a two page spread (with interview) in the February issue of Metal Maniacs, as well as a great review in the February issue of Terrorizer. Also, Grayceon's own Jackie Perez Gratz made a guest appearance on several songs on Cattle Decapitation's new album 'The Harvest Floor' which was just released on Metal Blade Records. Looking forward, we are happy to announce that Grayceon will be playing some Northwest shows with good pals, Lesbian, this coming April. Check back in a bit for official show information.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We're back and lining up some great shows for the early new year. We are also planning a jaunt up to the Northwest in April, so stay tuned. Jackie survived her late August swim from Alcatraz coming in 33rd in her age-group, at 61 minutes exactly. So, we guess that means that Grayceon keeps on keepin on! We would like to announce that our new album, titled "This Grand Show," is officially completed and off to the printers! Expect an official release date soon. Lorraine Rath, our dear friend and amazing musician in her own right, is designing the CD package and painted the beautiful oil painting for the cover. Our new album is almost finished! We hope to get promo copies off to press in about a month and a half. Also, we are pleased to announce that Zack has received a sponsorship from PoBoy Drums and will be getting a new custom kit from them sometime soon! In other news, we had an amazing mini-tour with Agalloch a couple of weeks ago. We also played with Russian Circles and Red Sparrowes. Happy New Year to our friends, family, and supporters!!!

We are pleased to announce that our 7" split with Giant Squid has finally been released on The End Records in a limited edition of colored vinyl. Please see details below.

Grayceon is also honored to have been nominated for Sonic Frontier's Best Underground Album of 2007. Thank you to all who took time out to vote for our album. When the polls closed our album came in second, behind Ulver's 'Shadow's Of The Sun.' Other nominees were Neurosis, Pelican, Wolves In The Throne Room, The Ocean, Jesu, and others. Looking toward the future... Grayceon will be recording and mixing our new album in February/March, which is scheduled to be released by Vendlus Records in August 2008.
